KETTERING, Ohio – A home surveillance system helped police arrest an 18-year-old, who broke into his neighbor’s home.
Surveillance footage shows the teen, Dustin Shepherd, carrying out a 42-inch plasma television out of the back door of his neighbor’s home, WHIO.com reports.

Police arrested Shepherd after seeing the video. He has been charged with felony burglary and theft. The same charges were also filed against Amanda Newland, 19, in the same incident.
A previous home intrusion prompted the homeowner, who only wants to use his first name, Russ, to install the $500 surveillance system. Russ says that nearly all of his neighbors have installed similar equipment.
