LAKE FOREST, Calif.—Kwikset, a manufacturer of residential security products, and an ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc., an ASSA ABLOY Group Company brand, have announced two new Z-Wave smart locks: the HomeConnect 918 and HomeConnect 620.
The company says these new products offer homeowners a high level of performance and connectivity, while maintaining the locks’ existing design and finish options.

HomeConnect 918, 620 Support Smart Home Security Applications
The ASSA ABLOY brand’s HomeConnect 918 is the star of its new lineup the global access control company asserts. According to Kwikset, the lock offers features that include support for up to 250 unique user codes, as well as enhanced S2 security encryption for advanced protection against unauthorized access. The lock also provides SmartStart provisioning for simplified setup, and Z-Wave Long Range technology for greater flexibility in smart home installations. The company suggests the 918’s long-range wireless communication, faster response times, and improved battery efficiency make it a possible choice for both residential and commercial properties.
Kwikset continues by noting the HomeConnect 620 is already a popular choice for smart home enthusiasts. Now the company emphasizes, the 620 comes equipped with Z-Wave Long Range technology. The lock supports up to 250 unique user codes, S2 security encryption, and SmartStart provisioning, ensuring seamless integration with leading Z-Wave smart home systems, such as Ring Alarm.
Both the HomeConnect 918 and 620 also feature Kwikset’s SmartKey Security technology, which protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows homeowners to rekey their locks in seconds.
