Honeywell Security Products Group has extended its reach into Central Europe by acquiring Czech Republic-based security parts distributors Olympo Controls s.r.o and Olympo Bratislava s.r.o. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The companies distribute intrusion detection, CCTV and access control equipment to installers in the Czech and Slovak republics. “It will take the solid distribution base that we already have in Western Europe and extend it into Central Europe, a region that is expected to experience strong long-term growth,” says Jeremy Hockham, European leader of Honeywell.
Honeywell already had a foothold in the Czech Republic through its automation and control solutions group, and its aerospace business.
