Vienna, Va. — Ben Cornett, president and CEO of Honeywell Security, is the recipient of Central Station Alarm Association’s (CSAA) esteemed 2006 Stanley C. Lott Award. The Lott Award is CSAA’s highest honor and recognizes years-long leadership and support of the association.

Cornett’s contributions include serving more than six years on the CSAA Board of Directors and as the chairman of the Associate Members’ Liaison Committee. Prior to being named president of Honeywell Security in 2002, Cornett served as president of ADEMCO Group.

The Lott award is not given annually but rather is reserved for special career recognition. It is named in honor of Stanley C. Lott, who served as president of CSAA from 1985-1987. Lott passed away March 5, 1989 at age 46.

Cornett’s other accolades include being named in 2004 to Security Sales & Integration’s Hall of Fame for his respected tenure in the security industry.
