After making its initial announcement in September,
Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions has now
completed the acquisition of video surveillance equipment
and systems provider Ultrak’s CCTV business.
The sale included assets and certain liabilities related to Ultrak’s CCTV business in the United States, Germany, Italy, Poland, South Africa, Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom. Approximately 300 of Ultrak’s current 520 employees will join Honeywell. In addition, Honeywell has licensed the Ultrak name.
“This acquisition significantly strengthens our product offerings in the expanding CCTV segment, and nicely complements our other industry-leading security products, including access control and sensors,” said Kevin Gilligan, president and CEO of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.
Ultrak will retain its businesses in access control, industrial video products, mobile video and alarm management.
