S-Tron, an authorized Honeywell Security First Alert dealer located in Plainview, N.Y., has been chosen to participate in the second season of Discovery Channel’s reality show “It Takes a Thief.” The show and its hosts – Jon Douglas Rainey and Matt Johnston -will be the focus of an exciting keynote and one-on-one session with dealers at this month’s ISC East sponsored by Security Sales & Integration.

S-Tron completed an installation for the show, which included dome cameras for exterior applications, as well as a DVR. Honeywell video surveillance equipment was used to ensure adequate security for the large piece of property.

“We are honored to be featured on ‘It Takes a Thief,’ and hope that through this show people will recognize how important security and video surveillance can be, whether it’s used in a home or a commercial building,” said Mike Scirica, director of product management at Honeywell Video Systems.

During a typical episode, host and burglar-turned-security-expert Rainey breaks into a home or business while co-host Matt Johnston, another burglar-turned-security-expert, and the owners watch on hidden cameras. The owners receive a lesson on how to improve their security, as well as a security makeover for their home or business.
