Honeywell Forming New Division for Security Power Products
NORTHFORD, Conn.
Security Sales & Integration has learned that the Honeywell Fire Group is forming a new division that will manufacture power solutions for electronic security systems. Honeywell Power Products (HPP) will produce products designed to supply power to fire and burglar alarm systems, as well as other electronic security produces like access control and surveillance.
“HPP is building upon Honeywell Fire Group’s extensive expertise in fire alarm power supplies to provide installers effective power solutions for CCTV, security, and access control systems,” says Gene Pecora, general manager of the new division.
The division, which Honeywell plans to unveil publicly at ISC West, joins the Honeywell Fire Groups other brands, including Fire-Lite Alarms, Silent Knight, NOTIFIER and Gamewell. HPP products will enter the market through existing Fire-Lite and Silent Knight distribution channels.
HPP says its products will be designed for an extended life span with a compact size that will be easy to install and quick to mount. They will provide multivoltage output and feature integrated overload protection. HPP also plans to provide 24-hour Web support, extensive product warranties and advanced technical support.
