Honeywell announces its Vindicator® security solutions have received PL-1 certification, the highest security certification from the U.S. Air Force.

The certification recognizes the Vindicator Command & Control (VCC) platform, V5 Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and V5 Access Control System (ACS) as an approved command, control and display solution for intrusion detection and entry control systems.

The Honeywell wares were tested at the Certified Air Force Test Site C-3 at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida. The designation certifies the latest Vindicator products and solutions protect PL 1-4 resources without requiring base or command authorities to apply for a waiver against regulations.

“National security is a higher priority today than ever before,” says David Peirce, regional sales manager for Honeywell Vindicator Security Solutions. “Our fully redundant systems have been certified for protection of PL-1 assets for many years. And now with the addition of our latest platforms to the approved list, we’re giving the Air Force and other high-security customers the support they need and expect.”
