Honeywell Wireless Indoor Motion Detectors

Published: August 24, 2010

Honeywell of Melville, N.Y., introduces the 5800PIR and 5800PIR-COM wireless indoor motion detectors.

The detectors feature a cold temperature alert that warns occupants when temperatures fall below 45°, and can be integrated with Honeywell’s Total Connect remote services to provide dealers with more opportunities for recurring monthly revenue (RMR), according to the company.

It contains a self-test feature that can alert occupants and the central station if the detector stops functioning, and allows installers to activate the walk test mode with a flashlight without having to climb a ladder.
