The 7847i-E Enterprise Communicator provides fully encrypted, secure alarm signal transport from subscribers to monitoring stations using local area network or point-to-point connections. It’s compatible with most manufacturers’ control panels, according to Honeywell, and provides security dealers with the opportunity to grow their account base while offering upgrades to existing customers with Honeywell VISTA systems.
The IP communicator is ideal for enterprise-wide private network applications including government buildings, banks, retail businesses and college campuses, according to the company.
The 7847i-E communicates directly to Honeywell’s 7810iR-ENT and 7810PC Internet Receivers. It also installs behind firewalls without compromising network security, uses 256-bit advanced Encryption Standard or optional 1,024 bit encryption with two-way authentication and no key exchange for maximum data protection.
