How Brivo OnAir Mobile App Helps Simplify Cloud-Based Access Control

Brivo Systems showcased its new cloud-based access control security system, Brivo OnAir mobile app, at ISC West 2015.

The smartphone has become the go-to interface for home control, so why not for access control too? Advancements in cloud technology has enabled Brivo Systems to open up a broad new realm for integrators in access control, targeting small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) with manageable and expandable two- to four-door systems with recurring monthly revenue (RMR) potential.

The company’s new Brivo OnAir app puts SMB access control in the wheelhouse for many custom integrators and security dealers. At ISC West 2015 in Las Vegas, the company is going to great lengths to educate attendees on what truly defines cloud-based access control and to emphasize the RMR potential with cloud-based access.

Steve Van Till, CEO and president of Brivo Systems, and Charles Wheeler, Brivo System’s security architect, are holding conference sessions at the show on the topics of social spaces and cloud security. In the booth, Brivo’s Lee Odess is working to change dealers’ minds about the value of cloud-based access.

“The problem with access control in general for integrators is that they are focused on the project and not on earning RMR. This new Brivo OnAir app changes their minds,” he says.

Brivo OnAir is a secure cloud-based access control and video platform that features an all-new mobile app experience for the on-the-go security administrator. The platform also integrates with the Smartvue video gateway providing a cost-effective storage and management solution to the SMB and enterprise markets.

The system allows an end user to:

  • Manage physical security for one or hundreds of facilities utilizing our cloud-based infrastructure
  • Use desktop or mobile browser to set schedules for customized facility access by person, time and location
  • Stay informed of critical events through programmable notifications delivered in real time via email and text
  • Monitor live video streams from security cameras; review video clips linked to important events
  • Ensure compliance through customized security reports delivered automatically via email on your predetermined schedule.

Odess says Brivo recommends an MSRP for just $14 per door per month for monitoring the system, which maintains a hefty margin for the dealer.

As physical security grows in importance for organizations of all sizes, SaaS solutions offer a streamlined, easy-to-use approach for reducing facility and personnel risk. At ISC West, Brivo is discussing how small to medium sized businesses can now take advantage of cost effective physical security offerings, that can be set up quickly and allow executives to easily manage access and video surveillance from anywhere.

“Security remains a top priority for C-level executives and it’s no surprise that the more easily the technology mitigates security issues, the better,” says Brivo’s CEO Steve Van Till. “We are proud to make it possible for SMBs and enterprises alike to enjoy buyer-friendly technology that effectively protects their property and employees.”

Also at the show the company is showcasing its Dealer Success Program that offers specialized services that drive enterprise value and recurring revenue.
