HSM Electronic Protection announces the acquisition of the security alarm side of Intruder Detection Systems (IDS) of Fairview, N.J. The agreement includes both commercial and residential accounts in northern New Jersey and New York City. Terms of sale are not available at this time.

“The Intruder Detection Systems acquisition allows us to expand our presence and service area in the greater northern New Jersey/New York City metroplex. We look forward to working with IDS’ customers by upholding HSM’s commitment to superior customer service,” says HSM President and CEO Tim Whall. “As with our other acquisitions, this acquisition expands our service capabilities for our national account customers in this part of the country as well.”

“I was fortunate to find an organization that met my goal. I have no doubt they will provide my customers with even greater resources for their future alarm and security needs,” says IDS President Jack Di Cristofalo.

IDS operated in the northern portion of New Jersey and New York City for more than 18 years.
