TORRANCE, Calif. — Security systems providers HSM Electronic Protection Services and Guardian Protection Systems have the best odds in the field of taking home a SAMMY award or two this year. The 2007 SAMMY Awards finalists have been announced with HSM and Guardian topping the list with six nominations apiece, followed closely by Benson Systems’ four, and AAA Alarm Systems’ three. These four lead a prestigious group of 26 total nominees spanning 13 categories.
Security Sales & Integration hands out its SAMMY (Sales And Marketing) Awards each year to honor security dealers and systems integrators who exemplify professionalism in their sales, marketing and installation endeavors. SSI will announce the winners of the 12th annual event March 27 during a free ceremony in Las Vegas on the eve of the International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC) West. The gala will be held in the Casanova Conference Room 601 at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino. It all kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The event also includes the official induction of the newest SSI Hall of Fame members, and the presentation of the annual Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award.
