HSM Raises Thousands for The One Small Voice Foundation
SANTA MONICA, Calif.
HSM Electronic Protection Services Inc. recently sponsored the third annual “Open Toe Shoe” fundraising event benefiting The One Small Voice Foundation (OSVF) at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif.
The OSVF is a not-for-profit organization that funds research for the leading cause of blindness in children, optic nerve hypoplasia and hydrocephalus. HSM’s sponsorship and donation helped raise more than $48,000 for this year’s event, including a $10,000 donation from HSM.
More than 200 guests took part in the event. HSM’s Beth Tarnoff, marketing manager, and Chip Durham, vice president for national accounts-West, were on hand to present the donation to Dr. Mark Borchert of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, among other dignitaries. Borchert is the only neuro-opthalmologist in the world researching the cause of the disease.
