Hurricane Katrina Victims to Receive HAI Thermostats

NEW ORLEANS

Home Automation Inc. (HAI) is donating 150 ENERGY STAR Omnistat2 Thermostats to Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation. The foundation was created in late 2007 in an effort to build 150 affordable, sustainable homes for residents impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

“HAI just completed its most successful sales year ever in 2008. We are happy to be in a position to help promote energy efficiency while being able to lend support for those needing help in our own backyard,” says HAI President Jay McLellan.

The Omnistat2 is a programmable thermostat that helps reduce bills and allow homeowners to view weekly usage levels of their A/C and heating units. Temperatures can be preset to control temperatures based on the resident’s needs.

“On behalf of the Make It Right Foundation, we are thrilled to be part of HAI’s endeavors,” says Tom Darden, executive director of the charitable group. “We rely on the support of organizations like HAI and cannot thank them enough for helping us to rebuild our great city.”
