HOUSTON— i-PRO Americas Inc. (formerly Panasonic Security), a global manufacturer of edge computing cameras for security and public safety, has announced a strategic partnership with NovoTrax, an end-to-end life safety and mass notification company.
i-PRO says that NovoTrax is a company focused on transforming school safety for K-12 institutions across North America, and the partnership brings together two complementary strengths: i-PRO’s advanced video protection systems and NovoTrax’s EduTrax unified Life Safety platform.
“School districts need trusted partners who can solve real integration problems, not just adding more systems,” says Masami Eguchi, president, i-PRO Americas. “By combining i-PRO’s mission-critical video capabilities with NovoTrax’s expertise in intelligent mass notification, we will enable educators and first responders to close critical gaps in emergency response workflows.”
i-PRO Partnership with NovoTrax Bridges Video Surveillance and Mass Notification
According to the Texas-based company, by combining their industry experience and technologies, the companies aim to eliminate long-standing integration gaps between video security and mass notification systems—gaps that iPRO asserts can cost precious time in emergency situations.
i-PRO states that for example, when an incident occurs inside a classroom or on school grounds, every second matters. Current workflows often require first responders and school officials to navigate disparate systems to access video feeds and critical situational data. i-PRO and NovoTrax are working together to close that gap and provide first responders with immediate, actionable intelligence, including live video, real-time location data, and integrated communications, within seconds of an emergency alert.
NovoTrax’s EduTrax platform specializes in seamless systems integration and mass notification, designed to unify disparate school safety technologies and provide situational awareness. Its capabilities include real-time location services, AI-assisted threat detection, mobile and desktop alerts, and instant video feed sharing to first responders, whether in the field, in vehicles, or at dispatch centers.
“Disconnected systems and fragmented workflows create real safety risks for schools,” adds Dave Gleason, president, NovoTrax. “We’re proud to partner with i-PRO—an organization that shares our focus on quality—to close those gaps, accelerate emergency response, and strengthen the tools available to keep our schools safe.”
