ICx Technologies, a provider of security products used in homeland security and commercial applications, acquired Phoenix-based PureTech Systems, a provider of video analysis technologies for wide area surveillance. The division has been renamed ICx Vision Systems.

ICx Technologies announced it intends to incorporate ICx Vision Systems products and technologies into existing product lines, as well as into current and future research and development projects, to offer a completely integrated solution.

“We are excited to be part of the growing ICx team,” says Larry Bowe Jr., president of ICx Vision Systems. “We are already starting to leverage our products’ technology with existing ICx products and systems to give our customers an even higher level of protection.”

ICx Vision Systems’ products include its PureActiv wide-area surveillance system, which combines a simple point-and-click camera control with alarm management and video analytics to create a map-based command and control system.
