IdentiSys Acquires Security Systems Integrator LINSTAR

LINSTAR is a full-service security systems integrator based in New York.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — IdentiSys announced Friday that it has acquired full-service security systems integrator LINSTAR.

LINSTAR, which is based out of New York, has installed and serviced identification, emergency management and a plethora of security solutions to customers in New York and Pennsylvania since 1998. It will remain under its own name as a division of IdentiSys, and LINSTAR’s full staff will be retained.

IdentiSys is a leading company in sales and service integrator of identification, card insurance, emergency response, customer line management, access control and video security systems. President and COO Debra R. Ferril is excited to add LINSTAR and “build on their solid record of success.”

“We are really looking forward to bringing together our similar, yet different, product portfolios and comprehensive on-site service capabilities,” Ferril said. “We welcome the addition of the outstanding LINSTAR staff to our organization and, together, we will provide our customers with the IdentiSys sales and service experience we proudly deliver throughout the rest of our corporate footprint. IdentiSys Founder and CEO Michael R. Shields said the company continues to strive to expand, noting it is IdentiSys’ 12th dealer acquisition in the past 10 years.
