NEW YORK — Idesco Corp. announces that it now resells the Uband, a wearable access control solution that combines all is said to have the benefits of a MIFARE or Proximity card with the convenience and flexibility of a silicone wristband.
The difference between a proximity card and the Uband product is the Uband remains attached to the person at all times, adding an extra layer of security, according to Idesco.
The Uband comes in two different types of wristbands that ulilize two different technologies: proximity and MIFARE. The Uband is said to decrease expenses from lost or damaged cards. The company says it is ideal for colleges and universities, fitness centers, office buildings, hospitals and recreation centers.
The Uband MIFARE can be used for access control, making payments and other functions. The difference is the Uband Proximity is strictly used for access control, according to Idesco.
