Illinois Alarm Dealers Can Attend Free PERC Training

CHICAGO

The Illinois Electronic Security Association (IESA) is offering alarm dealers a one-time opportunity to attend attorney Edward Williams’ permanent employee registration card (PERC) compliance seminar on Nov. 11.

The “PERC Nuts & Bolts” seminar will take place at the Holiday Inn Grove Village, Ill., prior to the IESA Annual meeting.

The seminar will cover Illinois licensing requirements and necessary aspects of recordkeeping that the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requires of all license holders, plus tips on how to survive an IDFPR audit. Williams’ seminar is specifically geared toward existing agencies that are in need of a refresher course on Illinois PERC registration and recordkeeping.

Williams will also discuss necessary steps to complete before putting an employee to work, exempt employees who are not required to have a PERC, and employee training requirements. He will also discuss how to provide classroom training to both installers and administrative employees.

Registration for the “PERC Nuts & Bolts” seminar ends Nov. 10. For more information, call (630)305-8800.
