Incorrect Contact Data Prevents Police Response
PHOENIX
A Phoenix burglary acts as a reminder for alarm companies
to keep updated information records when a lack of current
data delayed police for hours, allowing bandits to steal
drugs from a medical office. The Ahwatukee Foothill
News reports that police officers responded to a
burglar alarm in the early morning to find nothing
seemingly amiss outside, or an office employee to grant
access or inform them the business stored medicine.
The police recorded the available data and left only to be
called hours later after workers discovered the burglary.
According to Phoenix police, if incorrect data is on file
with the police or alarm company, they must call the
precinct with the hope a previous police report listing
responsible party information exists.
Police advise contact information should be updated with
the alarm company and the police whenever the responsible
party information changes.
