LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The electronic security industry is mourning the loss of William (Bill) James Cooper IV, who was president of the Kentucky Electronic Security Association (KYESA). He died peacefully at home Dec. 4 at the age of 72.
He enjoyed his work in the electronic security industry and worked until his death for Tyco Integrated Security. He also served as secretary of the national Electronic Security Association (ESA) board of directors.
Cooper is survived by his wife, three sons, two stepchildren, five brothers, two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his two dogs.
In lieu of flowers, Cooper’s family requests donations be made to cancer research at the Brown Cancer Center, 529 S. Jackson St., Louisville KY 40202, or to the Student Aid Fund at St. Xavier High School, 1609 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY 40217.
