Viscount Systems, a supplier of security systems and software, has appointed Dennis Raefield as its new CEO. Raefield has been a board member for Viscount since November 2011. He replaces Steve Pineau, who has resigned from the company effective immediately.
“I want to thank Steve for his valuable contributions to Viscount over the past 12 years,” says Raefield. “Viscount’s Freedom access control security technology is well positioned to continue to benefit from the convergence between cyber and physical security systems, and we plan to invest in our infrastructure and people to meet this demand.”
Raefield has a 35-year career in the security industry in senior management positions. Among his previous roles, he served as president of Honeywell Access Systems, president of Pinkerton Systems Integration, and CEO of Mace Security.
Raefield holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University, and is a member of ASIS Int’l, Security Industry Association (SIA), Electronic Security Association (ESA), Int’l Security Industry Organization (ISIO), Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and the California Alarm Association (CAA).
