Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies has partnered with Crayon Interface to launch Schlage LiNK, a wireless-controlled door lock that provides homeowners with the power to remotely control and monitor access to their home.

Schlage LiNK’s remote access capabilities were developed through a partnership with Crayon Interface, a provider of remote monitoring and control solutions through mobile devices and PCs. Crayon Interface’s remote access platform provides networking capabilities to devices in both home and small business environments.

“Our partnership with Crayon Interface allows us to expand the capabilities of our industry-proven locking technology to provide homeowners with the ability to monitor and control entry to their home via any Web-enabled mobile phone or computer,” Dwight Gibson, general manager, Intelligent Residential Security for Ingersoll Rand, tells SSI. “The mobile and online interfaces designed by Crayon provide plug-and-play simplicity and nicely complement our easy-to-install door locks so we’re extremely pleased with the results of the partnership.”

The company has also joined 3VR’s International Network of Channel Partners. Ingersoll Rand, which employs over 14,000 employees, provides comprehensive security solutions and quality services to customers around the globe.
