LAS VEGAS — The Lynx from Innovative Security Designs (ISD) earned the coveted Best New Product Award at Wednesday’s New Product Showcase (NPS) hosted by the Security Industry Association at ISC West.
Described as an edge computing platform for video surveillance to run Microsoft Embedded Windows, Lynx delivers high-definition (HD) megapixel multi-streaming 1,080p30 broadcast quality video encased in a fully integrated IP66 dome enclosure, according to SIA.
3M Cogent took the Judges’ Choice Award for its MiY-Touch indoor biometric touch screen. Described as one of the lightest readers in its class, the access control reader is compact and fast, according to NPS judges.
As many as 84 products and services were entered into this year’s NPS. There were 21 categories presented during the ceremony in addition to the “Best New Product” and “Judges’ Choice Award.” The judges also presented seven honorable mention awards.
