Inside Technologies, a French semiconductor company developing contactless smart card chips and reader technology for access control, announces that it has entered into an arrangement with Apollo Security Systems Inc., a U.S.-based company specializing in providing access control solutions. Apollo will enhance its current product offerings to include a multistandard smart card reader capable of operating with a range of smart cards, including Inside’s Pico Family and any other ISO 14443 A/B- or ISO 15693-compliant smart card.
“We are very pleased that Apollo has chosen our smart card technology,” says Steve Lewis, Inside’s smart card marketing manager. “The company is clearly a leader in its field and has recognized that the market for access control is evolving from 125kHz proximity into smarter systems.”
