“I’m a systems integrator.” Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? But is there any occupational description more loosely defined and open to interpretation — especially in the electronic security industry — than systems integrator?
Strictly speaking, a systems integrator should be capable of assembling complete systems out of many components, and integrating them so all work together. In other words, they graft together disparate components and systems to make them function as seamlessly as possible as one single master, or integrated, system.
