A producer of video training courses for low-voltage residential system installers says it will be making its courses available on video iPods. Training Reels says it is releasing iPod editions of its The Training Dept. videos this month.

Training Reels says the iPod editions will have the same content as their DVD course, but give installers the tantalizing possibility of having their training videos available to them as they perform their installations.

Grayson Evan, producer of the courses, says he wasn’t sure whether the details of the training could be seen on the video iPod’s small screen, but says he was pleasantly surprised by the result.

“We tested it in the field and, yes, you can see the details amazingly well,” Grayson says. “The iPod screen is very sharp and clear and we had no problem seeing anything.”
