Security systems provider Henry Bros. Electronics Inc. has installed an enterprise-class DVR system to replace a tape-based system at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in Santa Ana, Calif. Henry Bros.’ Alex Pavlis supervised the installation.
Prior to acquiring the new system, CHOC was recording camera feeds from its integrated security system to a tape-based system. The system installed was Mitsubishi’s DX-TL5000U. According to Mitsubishi, the hospital wanted to move into networked digital recording and turned to Henry Bros. Electronics for help.
The DX-TL5000U puts out 960 pictures per second for live images and 240 pictures per second for recorded images. Its 16 video inputs can be set individually to better allocate resources.
