Karcher Group, a systems integrator, recently installed a large matrix switch at NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Bay Saint Louis, Miss. The V-Matrix switcher, supplied by Altinex, routes and processes audio and video signals for more than 200 devices, including video cameras and monitors used to oversee the rocket test facilities and provide remote surveillance capabilities.
The devices are controlled with the OnGOER control software, which allows engineers to switch the video matrix to any other preset configuration.
The Stennis Space Center is NASA’s primary center for rocket propulsion testing and houses its Applied Sciences Directorate as well.
