IntelliVision Brings Video Analytics Expertise to HDcctv Alliance
IntelliVision Technologies Corp., an intelligent video analysis and automated monitoring systems company, has become the most recent corporation to join global security industry consortium HDcctv Alliance.
As a new alliance member, the company plans to introduce its family of analytics, object recognition and video power suites into HDcctv-compliant products for the surveillance market to automatically track and identify objects, analyze motion, and extract video intelligence. IntelliVision solutions will be embedded in HDcctv video encoders, servers, cameras, DVRs, and other related products such as intelligent video libraries.
Additionally, IntelliVision will offer the capability to stream metadata and intelligence among physically disparate surveillance subsystems.
“HDcctv Alliance welcomes IntelliVision as our first member specializing in analytics,” says Todd Rockoff, HDcctv Alliance executive director. “I expect the benefits of IntelliVision analytics to be particularly pronounced in HDcctv DVRs, wherein relatively powerful analytics solutions can be applied to artifact-free video streams supplied by HDcctv cameras.”
HDcctv surveillance cameras deliver digital high-definition (HD) video over coaxial cable, according to the organization. The HDcctv Alliance has partnered with SMPTE to reference the family of broadcast video interfaces known as HD-SDI to create a derivative standard to enable plug-and-play security systems and equipment that deliver high-resolution, HD surveillance video with no transmission delays, no image artifacts from transmission, with the highest possible signal integrity.
