Ioimage, a pioneer in intelligent video, was recently selected by 4D Security Solutions Inc. to enhance perimeter security at four airports: JFK Int’l, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty Int’l and Teterboro.
Raytheon was selected as the prime contractor for the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) project by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).
“It’s a strategic win for security and public protection for the people of New York and New Jersey and for global travelers,” says Roni Kass, ioimage CEO and founder.
As part of the Raytheon team, 4D Security, a homeland security systems provider, will design, integrate, test, and install the necessary technologies to make PANYNJ’s integrated PIDS a reality. As part of that effort, ioimage will implement the firm’s video analytics at all four regional airports.
“Whether it’s a major international airport, school campus, factory or nuclear power plant, our technology enables both high-end and midrange facilities to easily enhance security against modern-day threats, such as terrorist attacks and criminal activities, as well as improve day-to-day operations using intelligent video appliances.”
