IP-Ready Cameras Stay Focused Across Field of View

Published: February 28, 2007

Chatsworth, Calif.-based, Sanyo‘s new Pan Focus cameras allow users and systems designers to implement imaging technology on an analog platform now and convert for networked operation later. The transformation from an analog to a networked platform requires the addition of an IP board to the cameras.  According to Sanyo, the conversion can be performed in the field.

The cameras utilize deep focusing techniques to provide continuous focus across the entire field of view, maintaining clear focus across the entire frame.  According to Sanyo, this focusing ability increases the coverage capabilities of the cameras and can reduce the number of cameras required for advanced video surveillance applications.
