BAY SHORE, N.Y.—IPVideo Corp. has joined the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF). The company develops and manufactures DynaView, a network-based physical security solution.

DynaView solutions, which are built on open standards, are designed to provide a comprehensive security system that keep pace with the changing physical security market, according to the company.

“Developing a common protocol is important to the continued growth of the network-based physical security information management market,” says Paul Galburt, vice president of development at IPVideo. “We have been committed to open standards for over a decade and organizations such as ONVIF help ensure that IPVideo’s VMS and PSIM products will continue to lead the industry with support for a broad list of leading IP surveillance components and solutions.”

Established in 2008, ONVIF is a global and open industry forum that is committed to the adoption of network video in the security market. The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery, video streaming and intelligence metadata.
