IQ Certification Board Elects New Chairperson
ERIE, Pa.
The Installation Quality (IQ) Certification Program has elected Tim Creenan of Buffalo-based Amherst Alarm as chairman of its board of directors. Creenan will be responsible for membership growth, and increasing awareness and knowledge of the IQ program.
“One of the biggest misconceptions about IQ is that it is just a false alarm prevention program,” says Creenan. “My company joined IQ to take advantage of the marketing benefits and increased professionalism of the program. Being IQ certified sets us apart from other companies in the eyes of customers; that’s the message we want to promote.”
In addition to Creenan, the IQ Certification Board elected Dave Currie as secretary and Deborah Sokol as treasurer.
Currie is president of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada-based Damar Security Systems and Security Response Center. He has served on the IQ Certification Board for more than 10 years. Currie is also a founding member of the Canadian Security Association (CANASA) and has served seven years as national president.
Sokol was elected to a two-year term on the board. She is owner and CFO of Monitor Controls Inc., a full service security, fire, video and access control firm in Wallingford, Conn.
