The Installation Quality (IQ) Certification Program announces the election of its 2008 board of directors and the stepping down of its longtime chairperson, Lisa Prosser.
The recent vote added Deborah Sokol of Monitor Controls as the newest member of the IQ Certification Board, and Dave Currie of Security Response Center and Gail Schreiner of AlarmWATCH were re-elected.
The three members will join the current board consisting of Timothy Creenan of Amherst Alarm Inc., Jaqueline Currier of Rapid Response Monitoring Services Inc. and Dave Simon of Brinks Home Security Inc. Each elected board member serves a two-year term.
Former chairperson Prosser served on the board since 2002 and was a founding member. Among her many accomplishments, Prosser is credited for revising and updating IQ by-laws and installation guidelines, adopting the CSAA monitoring guidelines for IQ Certified monitoring companies, and improving IQ’s financials from near insolvency to steady profitability.
“Lisa has been a key member of the IQ Certification Board since the very beginning, and we will miss her leadership,” says Dale Eller, executive director of the IQ Certification Program. “On behalf of the IQ Certification Program, I would like to thank her for her years of hard work and wish her well with her future endeavors.”
