The IQ Certification Program is sporting an updated Web site that emphasizes educating consumers about the benefits of IQ certification. The new-look site, www.iqcertification.org, is the latest phase of the IQ Program’s rebranding efforts featuring a new logo and an easy-to-navigate format.

“By gearing the new Web site toward consumers, we are helping our IQ Certified companies distinguish themselves from their competition in the eyes of end users,” says Tim Creenan, chairman of the IQ Certification Board. “Once consumers understand the importance of IQ Certification, they will want to choose an IQ Certified company for their security and life safety system needs.”

The redesign includes frequently asked questions about IQ, a comprehensive search for an IQ Certified company, downloadable application forms, sample policies and an IQ checklist.

Because outreach to the law enforcement and fire communities is one of the main goals of the IQ Certification Program, the redesigned Web site features a section that explains what IQ Certification means to public safety.

“By incorporating information about IQ that is dedicated specifically to public safety officials, the new Web site will serve as a powerful tool for building stronger relationships between IQ Certified companies and their local law enforcement and fire officials,” says Creenan. “When public safety officials know the benefits of IQ Certification, they will be more likely to recommend IQ Certified companies to consumers in their area.”
