IQ Certification Program Tries to Get Canadians on Board

ERIE, Pa.

The IQ (Installation Quality) Certification program is launching an international marketing campaign to spread its message. The campaign will begin north of the Canadian border.

While most major program efforts have been targeted at the U.S., the Canadian Security Association (CANASA) endorses the IQ Certification and many companies in Canada have already received their certification.

To further spread its reach in Canada, IQ exhibited at Security Canada this past October and sent out a direct-mail piece explaining the program and its benefits to all CANASA members. IQ said the initial response from Canadian dealers has been very positive.

“An integral part of our campaign is to convey the value of the IQ program and the significance of quality installation companies to consumers and public safety officials throughout Canada,” said IQ program Executive Director Dale Eller. “That’s why in addition to targeting dealers, we are working to build up the infrastructure through letters, phone calls and additional direct-mail pieces and advertising.”
