Irish Remote Video Monitoring Co. to Create 50 Jobs With New Boston Office

Published: February 21, 2012

BOSTON — Netwatch USA, a remote video monitoring company, has opened a new office here. The company expects to create 50 jobs within the next 18 months in the United States. Company officials hope to create 30 jobs between the Carlow, Ireland-based headquarters and Boston offices by the end of 2012.

Netwatch provides real-time remote security monitoring to businesses and private residences in the U.S., and across four continents. Intervention specialists at the company’s communications hub monitor video footage and alert intruders that police are on the way.

In the past three months, Netwatch has won a number of contracts in Greater Boston. The Massachusetts Port Authority, which operates Logan International Airport and the Port of Boston, is currently piloting its security system.

“As with all airports and major transportation ports, security is priority for MassPort,” Netwatch CEO David Walsh says. “That they are willing to pilot the system speaks volumes for the integrity and quality of our company.”
