Is Your Company Helping Stop False Alarms? Get Recognized With the PDQ Award!

Published: September 27, 2005

There’s still time to enter a new awards program designed to recognize alarm installing and monitoring companies for establishing practices that help prevent false alarms.  Security Sales & Integration and Honeywell Security are co-sponsors of the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award,  along with the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) and the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA).

Examples of police department and security company cooperation are being collected to help create best practices guidelines in the PDQ program, and dealers and integrators are invited to share their winning stories. The best overall collaboration will be honored with the North American PDQ Award for 2006. The winning alarm company will receive its award from a law enforcement representative at a ceremony in their hometown and have representatives receive an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for next year’s ISC West to present their success story at the 2006 SAMMY Awards. They will also be honored in a feature story in SSI.
