Reed Exhibitions Co. (REC), producers of the International Security Conference (ISC EXPO) and The Home Automation Show, announced plans to rotate the locations for the show between Orlando, Fla., and New York, beginning in 2002. In even years, the show will be held in Orlando, while in odd years the show will be held in New York. Next year’s show is scheduled to take place Aug. 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
“Our new rotational strategy is based on customer feedback and exhaustive research regarding alternate venues. We are very excited to be implementing this change,” says Ellen Baird, industry vice president, REC. Independent research commissioned by Reed Exhibitions shows that the event should have the same quantity and quality of exhibitors and attendees. “It is important to note that this is not a third show, but a change in venue strategy for ISC/East. Rotating ISC/East between New York and Orlando will open new markets to both exhibitors and attendees in both venues and help set the pace for the future of our industry,” adds Baird.
