The producer of ISC East reports attendance at the 2008 show increased by 3 percent compared to the previous year. More than 325 companies participated at the exposition, held Oct. 29-30 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

“We are quite pleased to report the increase in attendance numbers considering the economic challenges of today,” says Ed Nichols, a group vice president of Reed Exhibitions, which produces the ISC portfolio of events. “Our numbers indicate that there is an increasing need for new technologies that more fully integrate the enterprise and that all parties responsible for those connections continue to communicate on those issues. ISC East created the perfect forum for these and other ideas.”

Among the attractions, ISC East 2008 featured keynote speaker Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and former U.S. presidential candidate. ISC Education presented the IP Institute program, which features a presentation of IP technologies and integration. The “Enterprise Security Management” program introduced IT security professionals to the ISC brand via roundtable discussions and best practices sharing.

ISC East was supported by New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA), Connecticut Alarm and Systems Integrators Association (CASIA) and the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA).
