This fall’s International Security Conference (ISC) East has received endorsements from the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NYBFAA). The DOC has put an International Buyer Program (IBP) designation on ISC East, while the NYBFAA has signed on as an endorser of the event to take place from Nov. 3 to Nov. 4 at New York City’s Jacob Javits Convention Center.
The IBP designation is given to trade shows with “high export potential.” According to the DOC, IBP events provide a venue for U.S. firms to market their products to international buyers. “The selection of ISC East 2004 to participate in the International Buyer Program was based on the quality of the event and the export potential of the industry it serves,” says a DOC release.
Meanwhile, the NYBFAA’s endorsement comes with the event returning to New York after two years away in Orlando, Fla., and Washington D.C. “With its return to New York this November, we recognized a tremendous opportunity for our members to come together, network and gain knowledge on the latest and greatest the security technology and services,” says NYBFAA President John Morrow.
As part of the endorsement, the NYBFAA will sponsor the opening keynote presentation for the show and is working on creating a charter bus program for NYBFAA members to go to and from the event.
