NEW YORK – ISC East will host throngs of security industry professionals who will peruse and source security technology, products and services from about 250 exhibiting companies. Sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), the regionally focused conference returns Nov. 16-17 to New York City’s Javits Center North exhibit hall.
Organizers have programmed a wide array of learning opportunities throughout the event, including more than 20 free sessions presented under the SIA Education@ISC East Program banner. With curriculum designed specifically for the Northeast market, subject matter experts from across the industry will cover such topics as best practices in sales management, RMR opportunities with outdoor security, social media analytical training, GSA Schedule contracting and more.
SIA Education@ISC coursework qualifies for continuing education (CE) hours with several industry accreditation bodies, including ALOA, ASIS Int’l and NICET. Certificates of attendance will be distributed after the show. Participants can use the document to self-report their education hours to those industry bodies that award CE and professional development credit.
Among several special events, Tech Tank@ISC East – inspired by the television hit reality show “Shark Tank” – will feature technology vendors pitching an innovative product or service on the show floor (Nov. 16, 12:50 p.m.-1:40 p.m.). Six finalists will be selected to showcase their technology in a live, 7-minute presentation to a room of peers. Attendees will then cast their ballots to select a winner.
