Magal Security Systems Ltd. announces that it has received its first major security turnkey project, an airport in Eastern Europe.  The total order, which the company expects to complete during 2000, is comprised mainly of Magal’s own systems and is in excess of $5 million.

“The existing threat to international airports all over the world, and the fact that Magal is the only security company with the experience in protecting the perimeter of airports, will, I believe, bring Magal many additional orders from airports in the U.S.A. and other airports worldwide,” says J. Even-Ezra, chairman of Magal.

The company announced a contract with Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Dec. 21.  Magal develops, manufactures and markets computerized security systems that automatically detect, locate and identify the nature of intrusions.
