An IT products distributor is forming a new business unit to distribute IP-enabled electronic security products. Tech Data Corp. says it will now offer the distribution of products to security systems integrators through its Physical Security Specialized Business Unit.
Product offerings from Tech Data will include security monitoring systems and software, IP cameras and DVRs.
“Much of the physical security market is quickly moving away from traditional analog devices to IP-enabled networked technologies,” says Annette Taber, director of Tech Data’s Advanced Technologies Group. “Our Physical Security SBU was established to ensure our customers have access to the networking and security integration expertise they need to capitalize on the demand for these solutions in residential and commercial markets.”
