Johnson Controls Inc., one of the industry’s largest
integrators, just got bigger. The Milwaukee-based firm has
announced it has completed the acquisition of air system
and HVAC supplier YORK Int’l. Terms of the deal were not
disclosed.

According to Johnson Controls, YORK is the largest supplier
of its kind and will help the integrator provide
comprehensive solutions to its customers.

“The complementary capabilities of the two businesses
create an offering that will reshape our industry,” said
former YORK President and CEO C. David Myers, who will now
serve as Johnson Controls’ vice president and corporate
officer. “Customers will now have access to unmatched, end-
to-end integrated products and services.”
