MILWAUKEE – Johnson Controls Inc. will provide security and monitoring for the body that provides drinking water to most of Southern California.
In a contract valued at $9.5 million, Johnson Controls will help create a security solution for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
The water district is a cooperative of 26 public agencies that supplies and transports water to nearly 18 million people in parts of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
An access control system with several hundred readers and cameras, DVRs and wireless CCTV will be installed to help monitor the sites.
