Johnson Controls Inc. announces it has formed a joint venture with Hsin Chong Group to provide integrated facility management (IFM) services in China, including Hong Kong and Macau. The Hong Kong-based joint venture, Hsin Chong Johnson Controls IFM Ltd. (HCJCIFM), brings together the experience of Johnson Controls, a global provider of IFM services, with the local knowledge of Hsin Chong Group, a construction and property services group. Initial clients include IBM‘s manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China, Sun Microsystems’ Hong Kong and China offices and Hsin Chong’s corporate headquarters.

Integrated facility management services are designed to integrate all of the functions required to operate a real estate portfolio at optimal performance and cost-efficiency levels under one service provider. Services include: electrical and mechanical operations maintenance, certification and maintenance of “clean rooms,” catering, cleaning, landscape maintenance, security, workplace management, and project management.

Robert Netolicka, president of IFM for Johnson Controls, says, “With this joint venture, we will be able to offer clients the full scope of facility management outsourcing services that have been proven to reduce costs and improve return on investment for corporations across North America, Europe, Japan and other parts of the Asia Pacific region.”
