The Open Security Exchange (OSE) will hold its Convergence Council meeting in Arlington, Va., June 20-21, focusing on the current state of physical and IT security convergence and how to advance the convergence agenda industry-wide. Senior IT and security executives will attend (including representatives from the Security Industry Association and the Smart Card Alliance), with the goal of determining the most meaningful projects for the organization in the coming months, laying out a “convergence roadmap” for use by security professionals and sharing current projects and future priorities.
“We welcome anyone with interest in collaborating on the roadmap to join our organization and attend the meeting. It’s a great way for everyone that is deploying or has deployed a converged security model to come together and share experiences, challenges and solutions for the benefit of the industry,” said Gavenraj Sodhi, member of the OSE’s board of directors and director of product management for CA eTrust Security Management Solutions. The Physical and IT Security Infrastructure Convergence Work Group meets throughout the year to discuss and collaborate on projects of interest to OSE membership and the Convergence Council.
